Weight Belt Buckles  

  There are numerous types of weight belt buckles out there. Weight belt buckles are common on of course weight belts, but are also used on harness systems, weight systems and to hold canister lights in place.   Materials: Stainless Steel This is a heavier duty buckle.  This type of buckle last for many years and will even hold up to having weights and such dropped on them.  The downside on this version is the price.    Delrin This is your standard buckle that you see everywhere in the world.  They are good quality and do last a long time.  They are very affordable and if nothing else having a spare is never a bad idea.   Pinned or Unpinned? This only applies to the stainless steel versions.  The pinned versions are substantially heavier than the unpinned version.  The pinned version has a pin that runs through the handle of the buckle and is crimped on each side of the base this way it can not pop out.  This is not to say unpinned are junk they are just lighter duty but still stainless steel.
