Tank Bands
This is our tank band page. Below is a tip on how to set up double tanks. There is another great resource in Dive Rite on their library page. It can be viewed here; www.diverite.com/products/library/articles/ Johns Quick Tip’s: How to set your Manifold Spacing. There is a great trick here for setting up your tanks so that you do not bend a manifold. Follow these steps and you will not bend a manifold. You want to start out with putting the tanks on a flat surface. Now with no valves in the tanks put the bands on. You want to crank them down a little bit at a time by switching between the two. The bands should now be tight, take you manifold and crank the two sides in tight to the isolator. They sometimes do not match up this is ok. You now want to take and put one of the manifold valves in the tank threads. You do not want to screw it in just center it. You can now take the isolator and while holding both valves crank it out till it is centered in both holes. If everything is centered you will not bend a manifold. Now all you have to do is loosen up the bands. Take the manifold and crank it into the one tank. When it is cranked in, take the other and spin the tank while holding the valve in front of the threads. Make sure both are tightened down and none of the o-ring is showing. Now you just have to go back and retighten the bands. Remember do a little bit on each band and continually switch back and forth this way the tanks can not “V” and bend a manifold.
