Ok, you have grunted and groaned and can not get that d**n hose protector on.  The Hose Protector tool will solve your woes.  The tool comes with the handle and adapter to handle low pressure hoses and high pressure hoses.    

Johns Quick Tip’s: Putting Hose Protectors On    This can be a real chore.  The easiest way to get them on is too heat some water to boiling, then dip the hose protector into the water to make the material pliable.  Then you put Armor All inside the protector and slide it on.  The Armor All makes the protector slide on much easier.
