This is the undergarment ALL of the Northeast Scuba Supply, Inc. employees dive. The undergarment is unique in that it is not super thick but provides an incredible amount of warmth. The tops come in all the standard sizes. They run close to form so if you are an XL tee shirt order an XL Top. Features Combining the outstanding performance of the Xerotherm with additional thermal layering, the Xerotherm Arctic is the next stage in the development of a high performance system for divers in the most extreme environmental conditions. Using a combination of fast-wicking, high insulation fabrics the Xerotherm Arctic creates a micro climate around the wearer, keeping the body dry and warm. A high density inner fleece provides superior insulation, with maximum comfort and wicking, whilst the outer layer, which has a water repellant finish, ensures a snug fit. Suitable for year round use underneath neoprene drysuit or summer use under membrane suits, the Xerotherm Arctic, builds on the performance of the Xerotherm base layer to be the perfect lightweight undersuit for dry suit diving. Design High waist leggings with flat tape ensures no separation of top and leggings Flat seams are used throughout to maximize next to the skin comfort Secure foot pockets ensure leggings stay in place whilst donning a drysuit Thumb loops prevent sleeves from riding up Johns Quick Tip’s: Maintenance of Undergarment. This is one of those things that divers just take for granted. They wash their undergarments like there clothes and then wonder why they do not feel as warm as they used to. The reason behind this is surfactants. Surfactants are what clean fabrics. The problem is that if there is any residue left behind your undergarment will not wick moisture like it used to and you will then be colder. There are solutions to this; 1. Instead of washing your undergarment every time try soaking it in water and hanging it out in a shaded area to dry. 2. If your undergarment does need a cleaning there are special cleaners that are made for high performance fabric. McNett Corporation has a great product called Revivex Synthetic Fabric Cleaner. This product will clean your undergarment without harming the wicking ability of your undergarment.
