Lightweight and sturdy enough, but very basic

This bag is simple and it appears sturdy. It's as big as a regular-size briefcase, and its padded back and bottom will help protect your notebook or tablet PC. However, it's very basic; there are no organizer pockets or pen sleeves to catch and hold the "little stuff," and no briefcase-handle on top. The zippered pocket on the front of the flap is big enough for your airline tickets and passport, and the Velcro patch plus the Fastex buckles make it secure enough not to get dumped.
Flap-over messenger bags are scarce, though, and I'm just glad I could get one to replace the California Pak bag I've just about worn out.
