Safety Reels

  Safety Reels   This is our Safety Reel section. Safety reels are common smaller reels. They are great reels for someone not wanting a bulky reel. If you are doing anything serious than consider a primary reel.     Reel Spool Material Versions: ABS Version   These are the plastic reels. They have a plastic spool. The most common of these is the Dive Rite   Delrin Version This is a much tougher material. It is very robust and can even absorb impacts better than other reels on the market. The most common of these are the Salvos.   Aluminum Version These are also very tough. The only downside to the aluminum is that they can corrode in saltwater if you beat them up. The most common are the Reef Scubas.
