Northeast Scuba Supply

Thanks for visiting our site. Northeast Scuba Supply opened its doors ten years ago and we have been expanding ever since. Having outgrown our original store, our new facility in Norristown, Pennsylvania is located just minutes northwest of Philadelphia. We have the largest inventory on the east coast and are dealers of almost every dive equipment manufacturer. We specialize in wreck diving and guarantee that we have the largest selection of in-stock technical diving equipment. We own and operate our own dive boat, exploring the historic shipwrecks of the north Atlantic; so we know a thing or two about wreck diving. Please pay us a visit and see what makes us different from your average dive shop..

Eye Cup from Capt. Bill Special Wreck
Used to wash object from sailors eyes

Well johns once again up my butt over writing dive reports but I got to tell ya it’s all good. Friday we dove a “new” wreck I got the numbers off a charter boat captain. The wreck sits in just 70 ft. of water. We found it to be a steam boiler, prop shaft and prop with debris buried everywhere. The prop and shaft nut are identical to the one on the copper wreck which went down in 1870.The engine although much like the copper wreck was a little smaller. All agreed it could be a very interesting and productive digging wreck. Next up the good ole double east. The only thing I can say about the double east other then the usual lobsters, tons of mussels and fish is it got bigger, again. I guess these storms have moved more sand and the wood is more exposed then ever before. A very cool shallow wreck that anyone can dive. Less then 60 ft deep and the giant granite slabs are very amazing, and then you wander off into the wood where the lobsters live. John Reading had three with the biggest a right at the limit nice lobster. Gillman shot a few tauge with the largest being a tad over ten pounds. Great vis 30plus, 65 degree bottom temps calm seas what a day.
Saturday was off to a fun wreck we’ve dove many times before. The Copper Wreck is still giving stuff up but slowly. We have a couple of guys working on some projects plus the sand has shifted exposing new areas.

We also ran another trip in the last couple of weeks. I’m not mentioning the name because of what was found. Rob B. found for the first time something other then stuff off the ship. He found sitting along side each other A small medicine bottle and eye cup. I’m sure John will be posting the pictures. After these storms sand can move and expose many different things when you’re a junk collector. I’m headed back out there very soon and there could be more stuff coming up. I’m running Wednesday 90′ tables to a “artifact” wreck that also has lobsters and some nice sea bass on it. If interested call John before we fill. I’ll be running as long as we have decent weather so I’d suggest hoping on. Could be interesting. Capt Bill and the crew of the Tunaseazure Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. By the way I’m writing these reports in a very subdued manner as there’s things out there and I’m trying to not let the cat out of the bag.

Medicine Bottle with Made in Philadelphia on the bottom

Nuts and Bolts all polished up from after dive
